Boss Guide: Kassel (The Gold-Clad King)

Kassel is a legendary mercenary leader known for his opulent golden armor and his brutal, wrestling-inspired combat style. Unlike other bosses who rely on magic or sheer size, Kassel fights exactly like an upgraded version of Kliff. This is a pure skill match.

🛡️ Preparation

• Recommended Level: 25+
• Best Weapon: Sword & Shield (Essential for survival) or Unarmed/Cestus (if you are feeling bold).
• Key Mechanic: Tech Throw (Grab Teching). Make sure you've practiced the "Break Free" prompt in training.
• Essential Items: * Iron Skin Elixirs: Reduces damage from physical throws and slams.

⚔️ Phase 1: The Mercenary King

In the first half of the fight, Kassel uses a balanced mix of sword strikes and sudden grapples.

• Golden Thrust: A very fast, long-range dash attack.
  • Counter: Perfect Parry this to deal massive posture damage.
• The Suplex Trap: If you block too much, Kassel will glow yellow and attempt to grab you.
  • Counter: You cannot block a grab. Back-dodge or use a Kick (F) to interrupt his grab animation.
• Command Grab: If he catches you, he will perform a devastating Suplex.
  • Reaction: Watch for the prompt on screen. Press E at the exact moment to "Tech" the throw and push him away.

⚔️ Phase 2: Unarmed Fury

At 50% HP, Kassel tosses his sword aside. This is where the fight gets dangerous. He becomes much faster and starts using "Air-Grabs."

• Meteor Slam: Kassel jumps high into the air and tries to grab Kliff's head.
  • Reaction: Wait for him to reach the apex of his jump, then Sprint-Slide underneath him.
• The Infinite Combo: He will unleash a 5-hit punch and kick sequence ending in a drop-kick.
  • Counter: Block the first four hits, but Dodge the final drop-kick. The drop-kick has a long recovery time, leaving his back wide open.

🤼 The Winning Strategy: "The Counter-Grappler"

1. Don't Over-Commit: Kassel loves to "Hyper Armor" through your light attacks to grab you. Stick to 2-hit combos and stay mobile.
2. Drain His Stamina: Every time you successfully "Tech" his throw, Kassel loses a large chunk of stamina.
3. The Mettle Finish: When he is winded (panting), use your Mettle Burst into a Power Suplex of your own. Seeing the King get slammed by his own medicine is the most effective way to end the fight.

• Medal of the Greymanes: A unique accessory that reduces the Mettle cost of squad commands.
