Crimson Desert best armor: choose by the job

There is no one set for every fight. Start with the problem you need to solve.

Pick Frostcursed for cold regions. Pick Shadow for the Beloth route. Pick Baltheon if you want a purchasable plate option in Hernand.

Frostcursed Plate: start here for cold areas

Frostcursed pieces are in north Demeniss. The route uses several caves and waterfalls.

Bring the skills first. You need Blinding Flash for blocked paths. You also need Stab to pass some waterfalls. The final armor chest also needs Force Palm.

The five pieces are spread across Sanctum of Expiation, Chattering Rocks, Lunar Spirit Grotto, Well of Tragedy Grotto, and Mistshard Cave.

This is a strong early target if the cold region is slowing your exploration. Do not travel there just for a number on a stat sheet. Go when you can use the resistance and the route rewards.

Plate Armor of the Shadows: take the boss route

Most Shadow pieces sit around Everfrost. The helmet comes from Beloth in Hoenmark Ruins.

Beating Beloth gives the full set. That makes this route simpler for players who are ready for the optional fight. The fight also deals cold damage, so Frostcursed can be a sensible setup before you attempt it.

If Beloth is not on your route yet, you can collect several pieces while exploring Everfrost. Treat the set as a regional goal, not an early mandatory upgrade.

Baltheon Plate: buy it in Hernand

Baltheon is a shop route. First buy the Hernandian Crown from the Contribution shop in Hernand Castle. Then visit Rhett's equipment shop in Hernand.

The crown unlocks the right to purchase the available Baltheon pieces. This route costs Contribution, so do not spend your last points before checking the shop.

Before you chase a set

Open the item screen and compare the exact piece you will replace.
Check the region and skill gates on the route.
Choose resistance and utility before cosmetic matching.
Save your game before a long cave or boss run.
