Use the official PC menu shortcuts, remap guard and evade safely, and choose the new Flying Mount Controls option in Patch 2.00.00.
Crimson Desert controls: start with these shortcuts
Do not copy a stranger's full layout on day one. Learn the official defaults first. Then change one action at a time.
Default PC menu shortcuts
| Menu | Default key |
|---|---|
| Inventory | I |
| Skills | K |
| Journal | J |
| Map | M |
These shortcuts were added in the official 1.00.03 update.
A safe remapping order
- Keep movement on WASD.
- Test guard and evade in an empty area.
- Move only one action per session.
- Keep a backup layout before changing anything else.
The game added default mouse-side-button options for Guard/Aim and Evade. If your mouse has side buttons, try those defaults before building a custom layout.
Flying Mount Controls in 2.00.00
Patch 2.00.00 adds two Flying Mount Controls options.
Find them under Others > Input.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Camera | The mount follows the camera direction. |
| Manual | Ascend and descend use separate inputs. |
Use Camera if you want a familiar camera-led setup. Use Manual if you want to separate aiming from altitude control.
When controls feel wrong
First check whether the issue is a binding, camera behavior, or a skill requirement. Reset only the setting that caused the problem.
Avoid guides that promise one “pro” layout. The best layout is the one you can use without looking at your hands.
This page lists only controls confirmed in official patch notes. We will add tested platform layouts when each one has a reproducible setup.
